Homesteading Is Life

We're excited to share our journey with you as we work towards building a self-sufficient homestead from scratch. This is our first homestead, and we're learning a lot as we go!

At Thornberry Homestead, we believe in the power of self-sufficiency and living off the land. We're currently living in a camper while we build our own home - a barndominium - and develop our property. We're committed to living debt-free and self-sufficiently, and we're excited to share our progress with you as we work towards our goal.

One of our priorities is to establish small-scale crops such as wheat, barley, and oats to feed our future livestock. We're also raising chickens for meat, and we plan to expand our farm animal collection in the future.

Throughout this section, we'll be sharing all sorts of topics related to building and establishing a working homestead, including farming, land projects, and farm animals. We'll also share updates on our own homestead journey, including photos and descriptions of what we're doing and how it's going.
