Welcome to Thornberry Farmstead! We are Brynt and Alix, a homesteading family living in the charming town of Salem, Idaho. Our passion for farming and homesteading has led us on an exciting journey of building our own home, raising livestock, cultivating organic gardens, and teaching others how to live a self-sustaining lifestyle.
We are a family of six, with four beautiful children: Camberlyn, Daxton, Ewan, and Finley. Our two dogs, Dougal and Fergus, complete our family of animal lovers. As a couple, we have been married for 12 years, and we feel incredibly blessed to have found our calling in life.
Our love for farming and homesteading started with a dream of owning our own land and growing our own food. We bought a 2.5-acre piece of land in Salem, and we have been working hard to turn it into a sustainable homestead. Our home is a barndominium, which we designed and are currently in the process of building our own home, we hope it will embody our love for both rustic charm and modern design.
Brynt is the tractor-loving farmer who takes care of our livestock. He's the muscle behind our farm projects and always has a new idea for how to improve our homestead. He gained a wealth of knowledge about farming from his grandfather and is eager to share his knowledge with others. Alix is the green thumb and heart of our homestead. She loves everything about gardening, raising chickens, and keeping bees. She is also a master of home remedies, and she enjoys sharing her knowledge of natural healing with others. In fact, she's a genuine pioneer girl at heart and would have fit right in on the set of Little House on the Prairie!
Together, we are passionate about living a sustainable lifestyle, growing our own food, and teaching others how to do the same. Our goal is to help others connect with nature and live a healthier, happier, and more fulfilling life. We hope you enjoy exploring our website and learning more about our journey.
